Braunschweig, 05 September 2013 – Thanks to the variety of information and functions provided by current tablets and smart phones, today's travelers are always well informed and always reachable as they travel – assuming the battery is not getting weak. However, the great appetite for power of these portable assistants can become a real problem, especially when no power outlet is available. For all those who are familiar with this situation, Cabstone™ is adding two new solutions to its product range – the Powerbanks. These mobile charging stations make it possible to take along power for tablets and smart phones; they can be recharged indefinitely and ensure a continuous power supply on long train rides, hikes, or motorcycle excursions.

 

Powerful for up to two devices
The Cabstone™ PocketPower 11.2 is a true powerhouse with its high capacity of 11.200 mAh. The Powerbank can charge a tablet up to three times in succession, without itself having to be plugged into an electric outlet. For smartphones, there is even enough capacity for up to six complete charges. 2.0 amperes of charging power ensure rapid a charging process, just like a power outlet. The PocketPower 11.2 has two USB ports, so that it can supply power to multiple smartphones or small devices at the same time. There is an integrated Micro-USB cable as well as a battery status LED to display the available residual capacity.

The ultra compact little sister, the PocketPower 5.2, is designed especially for smartphone users. Despite its small external dimensions, the lithium-polymer battery of this Powerbank offers a capacity of 5,200 mAh, delivering enough juice to completely recharge today's popular smartphones up to three times. However, with just one USB port and only 1.0 ampere of charging current, the PocketPower 5.2 is not for tablet users. Here too, the included micro-USB charging cable is fully integrated in the housing and thus disappears in your pocket without any problem.

The Cabstone™ PocketPower 11.2 and the PocketPower 5.2 will be presented to the public for the first time at this year's IFA in Berlin. They will be available for retailers starting in mid-October.
